Abu Dhabi Media Launches Sign Interpretation For Radio

Abu Dhabi Media and Zayed Higher Foundation have launched a translation service for people with hearing impairments.

Abu Dhabi Media will host a daily bulletin on Microsoft Teams which will include the news that was covered on the show to be translated into sign language by the Zayed Higher Organisation For People Of Determination team.

The Studio 1 program is broadcasted daily from 10am to 12pm on the Abu Dhabi FM Radio and is presented by Ahmed Al Majini and Salem Al Kaabi. It is one of the oldest live broadcasts in the Gulf.

Abdul Rahman Awad Al-Harthi, Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Radio Network said, “This cooperation reflects our keenness in Abu Dhabi Media to strengthen joint action bonds with various local bodies and introducing the deaf group to the content that we provide through the Studio 1 program, especially as it deals with topics of interest to all citizens and residents of the country, as well as enhancing their participation in the societal issues raised by the program.”
