Dhs 36 Million Raised Through Charity Art Auction

The live charity art auction raised Dhs 36,673,000 to provide meals for individuals and families in need in 30 countries.

Part of the ‘100 Million Meals’ initiative, money raised from the live charity auction will provide 36,673,000 meals to people in over 30 countries.

The auction was held at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah in Dubai on 23 April and was hosted by Jonny Gould, Former Presenter of the Sunrise Program on Sky News and Sports News Anchor on Radio Smooth and BBC Radio 2.

The auction featured a number of prized art pieces including paintings by Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, Henry Moore, and David Hockney.

The ‘100 Million Meals’ campaign also hit its target on 22 April, just 10 days from its launch, with donations made from over 185,000 individuals and companies inside and outside the UAE.

The additional money that is still being raised will help provide more food resources for people around the world.
