Things are changing faster than we can write about it but we’re totally excited to know that these places are about to open once again.

It’s official! Abu Dhabi’s cultural sites are ready to reopen their doors again on 24th June, which, at the time of writing, is under a week to go.
We only just reported that the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT – Abu Dhabi) had sent all cultural sites and museums guidlines outlining what safety measures would need to be met before such venues could open.
Now, DCT – Abu Dhabi have said that later this month that some museums and cultural sites will be ready for visitors again.
Here are the sites that are set to open on or around 24th June.
Abu Dhabi
- Louvre Abu Dhabi
- Qasr Al Hosn
- Cultural Foundation’s exhibition and Artists in Residence studio
Al Ain
- Al Ain Oasis outdoor areas
- Qasr Al Muwaiji
- Al Jahili Fort
- Al Ain Palace Museum
And just in case you’re wondering, DCT- Abu Dhabi have said that the strict health and safety guidelines, along with the required precautionary measures have been in place for a while now.
For some of the sites such as Qasr Al Hosn and Louvre Abu Dhabi, you are going to need to pre-book tickets in order to enter.
Also, make a note of the updated opening hours, with most sites opening at 10am and closing at 7pm except Friday, which is 2pm to 7pm.
Louvre Abu Dhabi opening hours are from 10am to 6.30pm, except on Mondays when the museum is closed.
