Only people who have tested negative for COVID-19 in the last 48 hours will be able to enter the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The restrictions preventing people entering or leaving the Emirate of Abu Dhabi have now been lifted, Abu Dhabi Media announced on its twitter account.
However, those entering must have been tested for COVID-19 within the previous 48 hours and show negative results.
Results will be accepted from the Al Hosn App or text message from any hospital or any screening centre in the UAE that is affiliated to the National Screening Programme.
Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police and the Department of Health Abu Dhabi were behind the announcement.
The transport of goods and mail are exempt from the restrictions.
It is still unclear if those crossing into Abu Dhabi will still require a move permit from the police as well as producing negative COVID-19 results.
