Kids under 12 can now visit malls in Abu Dhabi

Finally age restrictions for those visiting malls in Abu Dhabi is being lifted, which is great news for families wishing to go shopping together.

It’s official! You can now take children who are under 12 years of age shopping in the capital’s malls, retail shops and restaurants.

The original age restrictions that prevented people 12 and under and those aged 60 and over was originally put in place to help stem the spread of COVID-19.

 

The upper age limit is now 70.

The lifting of the age restrictions applies across the entire UAE, as well as here in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

This comes as the end of the National Sterilisation Programme across the country was announced yestreday, 24th June, 2020.

However, all residents are expected to follow the government’s safet guidelines, such as social distancing, the wearing of masks and observing the maximum capacity of venues across the emirate.

Malls in Abu Dhabi are not allowed to exceed the 30% capacity.
