The Ministry of Health and Prevention is providing home healthcare services to the elderly as well as to people of determination, that do not have access to healthcare.
The initiative is in line with ensuring the health of individuals from various community groups.
Emirati citizens, including individuals with movement disorders or paralysis, bedridden and need continuous follow-up, and patients with mental illnesses, can avail the services from this programme.
Services like curative and preventive services, rehabilitation, nursing services, laboratory tests, free in-house COVID-19 vaccinations, telemedicine services, home delivery for medicines, in-house flu vaccination and follow-ups can be given.
The digital patient platform ‘Shefaa‘ will include an updated version of the portal, medical services, health and nutrition tips, laboratory tests, bone density test, pap test and an ongoing follow-up with chronic disease patients.
