The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority has organised the #BewareOfInvestmentScams campaign to raise awareness among the public.
The campaign will focus on all online trading scams available on the Internet and warns the public about the dangers of investment scams and the importance of investing in safe practices.
The campaign is in partnership with the Securities and Commodities Authority.
Due to receiving a multitude of inquiries via social media, the campaign will assist in providing legitimate methods of online trading and information on how trading companies are regulated in the UAE.
Investors will be informed on dealing with investment scams and misleading campaigns on social media.
General guidelines for preventing investment scams along with the right procedures to follow will also be provided.
