Campaign To Help Mental Health Among Workers

The Department of Community Development along with the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, has launched a campaign to help support worker’s psychological needs, as a result of issues caused and faced during the pandemic.

The You Matter campaign will run till the end of December and will provide individuals with the tools and also raise awareness, so that they can identify mental health warning signs like suicidal ideation.

The campaign has reached 500,000 workers in complexes as well as 5 million workers, digitally.

Groups from the health sector and the educational sector will be trained to have the ability to communicate with workers and improve their psychological morale.

The training program was prepared in cooperation with Camali Mental Health Clinic and will be held in different languages including Arabic, English, Hindi, Urdu and Malayalam in order to reach a wide range of individuals.

Experts in the field of psychological health care will conduct an intensive two-hour program in which several areas that contribute to developing their abilities of how to communicate with workers and to provide them with the advice and support needed will be targeted.
