UAE To Host T20 World Cup 2021

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is set to be held in the UAE, as well as in Oman, for the 2021 tournament.

The tournament will be run from 17 October to 14 November.

Due to the surge in cases during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India, the tournament has been moved.

Matches in the UAE will be held at Dubai International Stadium, Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah Stadium and in Oman at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Muscat, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) the hosts of the event.

Sourav Ganguly, President of the BCCI said, “The BCCI is looking forward to hosting the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 tournament in UAE and Oman. We would have been happier hosting it in India but considering the uncertainty due to the COVID-19 situation and the importance of a world championship, the BCCI will now continue to host this tournament in UAE and Oman. The BCCI is looking forward to creating a spectacle.”
